    Packing my suitcase fit Dragon Con and it occurs to me that airline luggage allowances are blatantly unfair. Since I last flew, I have lost the weight of about one checked bag (depending on the airline), but I’m still only allowed one checked bag without paying extra. I wonder what the fixed cost is to fly a set amount of mass on a jet, and how ticket prices would be affected if passengers had to pay for every gram they carry, wear, or weigh.

    There would likely spring up a rash of crash diet plans that would promise to minimize your ticket price with chemical wraps and colonics. In-airport vomitoria would do a great business, while departure terminal restaurant business would dry up.

    It is a small consolation that my t-shirts are a fair bit smaller and lighter n than before…
