Moving option

Well, looks like National car rentals will do one-way rentals from Halifax to Toronto. Trouble is, there’s nothing really moving-friendly in there, possibly by design. No Minivans or full sized SUVs. $200 for a week long car rental though is plenty to get the mammals to Toronto, without so many possessions.
Maybe we’ll have to find a NON-UNITED-VAN-LINES moving system of some sort. Ideally it would be a load-it-ourselves pod that could just find its way to our new location. Will keep looking.
I’m not sure how you get into this, but it’s possible to rent the empty half of a tranport truck that is already going your way.
I know this because my mother used this method when she moved up here from down east when I was a youngling.
