That’s a bit of overkill…

I was signing up for hulu.com today, and noticed something unusual as I was filling in my fake address. I’m forced to use a fake address because I’m not in the USA, and they try to restrict access. I say try because they do so in a rather broken way that any 12 year old can get past with a little research.
Anyhow, I am entering my date of birth, and I scroll down the list for ‘year’ and I’m impressed with how progressive hulu is. they allow for those 121 year olds out there to be able to sign up and watch TV and movies online. Yes, they allow you to pick anything back to 1888 as your year of birth.
Just seems a bit silly. I don’t understand the usefulness of a drop-down for the year portion of a birthdate; it’s more work than just typing four numbers.
