Stop Sylvia Browne Goes to Sylvia Browne

Sylvia Browne

Robert Lancaster who is the man behind the excellent site StopSylvia.com decided that it was time that he bit the bullet and go to see The Hoarse Voiced Prophet in a Vegas appearance. True Believers email him to tell him that he knows nothing about Sylvia, and that he’d Really Understand if he just went to see her show. Let’s just say that he’s less than convinced.

He had the opportunity to ask a question, and he actually went with a pretty low key, non-confrontational question that would fill in a piece of her, apparently fabricated, past. He just asked where she went to school, but oh, she recognized him and even helped advertise his website… After the show, security was trotted along to deal with the interloper and his entourage; fear the amazing power of Sylvia Browne! She can dispatch a troop of hotel security cops with just a bit of yelling at an assistant and a call to the front desk; tremble in fear, skeptic!

Sylvia Browne is a fraud and a fake, and the lies are so obvious at a distance. Apparently her lies are just as visible from ten feet away…

After the show, Robert was chatting politely with other attendees in the lobby of the hotel;

It was along about this time that I heard something and looked over to see Browne, in her wheelchair, about six feet from me, glaring straight at me. (Larsen would say later, “Man, if looks could kill, you’d be cinders by now!”).

The following exchange took place:

Browne: [pointing at me angrily] Someone is going to deal with you!!

Lancaster: [not sure I heard right, I bent down so that I could hear her more clearly] I’m sorry, what?

Browne: Someone is going to…

At that point, her assistant quickly turned the wheelchair and wheeled Browne away. Everyone turned and looked at each other, wondering what she meant. To my wife and I, it definitely sounded like a threat. A few minutes later, someone tapped on my right shoulder, and I turned to see two uniformed security guards.

Nov 8, 2008: updated the links to point to stopsylvia.com since someone snagged the domain away while Robert was in the hospital…
