“American Laundromat (http://www.alr-music.com/shop.php) is a record company that I’ve picked up a couple good albums from; there are albums full of Pixies, Kim Deal and Neil Young tributes; there are also upcoming Cure and Repo Man albums. A CD tribute to Repo Man; I can hardly wait.” — Go On, Sell Out Already

Got this press release in the mail today, and thought I’d share. I have a copy of the CD, and I’ve listened to it only the once so far. I’ll have to give it another listen before really commenting, but it’s pretty good.

“This project was a pure labor of love for the label. We wanted to get back to working with lesser-known indie arists. We started to produce Gigantic in the middle of producing the Pixies and Neil Young tributes. It was fun to work directly with the bands and hear their reinterpretations of Kims impressive body of work. We worked with bands from France, Mexico, Australia, the U.K. and USA so its really a global tribute in a sense. Were very pleased with the record.” Joe Spadaro, Founder & Pres. American Laundromat Records.

American Laundromat Records is an independent record label based out of Southeastern, CT. Founded in April of 2004 the label is best known for producing tribute compilations and seven-inch split vinyl singles.
