Legal trouble

Wow. I just received my first email from a lawyer, describing actions taking place in Court of Queen’s Bench case against me.
I had to read enough of the email to really understand what this was; spam, misdirected, or something that should know about. It’s an action in family court over visitation and about lawyers that don’t want this guy as a client, and it’s not anything about me or anyone I know.
I replied to say as much, and CC’d the law firm’s general information email address. I would like to imagine that lawyers pay attention when they type email addresses on messages containing privileged information that they’re going to send out over public email servers. There’s also an issue of spell checking, but that’s a minor issue.
The law firm’s privacy policy is great.
Protection of privacy is an important principle to Dimnik & Company and Michael J. Dimnik Professional Corporation We collect, use and disclose personal information responsibly and only to the extent necessary for the professional services we provide. Transparency isn’t when you send things to an email address so that people not involved in the case can see private information about someone they don’t know.
