• In a battle of wits with the unarmed…

I’m not sure if the Facebook discussion requires that you be signed into Facebook to see it or not, but I like of my little showing of the Evolution of Intelligent Design; complete with fossils…

Roger is a bit unarmed in this battle, or maybe very young… claiming that “ID existed before a roman emperor created Christianity to unite the people of roman. ID make the hypothesis that it is possible that something that is intelligent is capable of creating something that is intelligent – i.e. alive.”

So, people are patiently explaining to him all the typical items; how a theory is not the same thing as a hypothesis is not the same thing as a wild guess; how ID and Creation are no different as far as science is concerned; etc.

Roger; it’s not about who has made “acurate evolution predications” (sic)

It’s about the appalling lack of hypotheses and data that can test the existence of an initial creator. Empirical data, Roger. If you can not design a test to prove the existence of this designer, then at best you’re a philosopher and not a scientist.

ID is an offshoot of Creation, as part of The Wedge, as part of selling “Of Pandas and People” to the schools, as part of a religious mission… Have you ever wondered where the phrase “cdesign proponentsists” came from? It’s a word processor ‘glitch’ where “creationists” attempted to evolve into “design proponents” but failed.

Of Pandas and People (1987, creationist version), p. 3-40:
“Evolutionists think the former is correct, creationists accept the latter view.”

Of Pandas and People (1987, “intelligent design” version), p. 3-41:
“Evolutionists think the former is correct, cdesign proponentsists accept the latter view.”

Intelligent Design evolved directly from Creationism in 1987, and there’s even fossil evidence.
