More money to give away

I read through dozens of proposals to give away the $30 certificate that I received from the SixApart / LiveJournal crew, and finally found a project that was buying microscopes for a poor school. Today I find a surprise in my inbox… more money to allocate… I don’t have any of my own money to donate on the current budget we’re on, but it’s nice to be able to play some part in directing funding at projects promoting critical thinking and science in the classroom.
During the month of October, more than a hundred bloggers inspired their readers to give $420,000 to classroom projects on DonorsChoose.org, reaching 75,000 students from low-income communities. You were a part of this amazing outpouring of blogosphere generosity.
To thank you and to help even more students, we are giving you a $100 DonorsChoose.org gift certificate (provided by one of our supporters) to spend on the project of your choice before Dec. 15, 2007.
I guess it’s over to DonorsChoose.org to do some more reading; unless someone has a really good suggestion for a project in need of a bit of extra cash?

If you are still looking for projects to fund, I would love to have books or a classroom rug for seating for learners who need that visual cue. Project IDs 103734 and 109671 in the Quick Search to check them out. Thanks for looking.
