September is coming together

I’ve just handed over $70 in order to attend the biggest damned costume party in North America. I have nothing to back up that claim, so don’t ask. I was planning to actually put together a costume involving a bathrobe, boxers and t-shirt, combined with a towel and a teacup, but even that seems like too much work in the time remaining before Labour Day Weekend.
One of the people involved in getting Dragon*Con 2007 off the ground this year is Robynn “Swoopy” McCarthy of the Skeptic Magazine podcast Skepticality. It appears that this year will not involve the crazies from the Ghost Hunter TV show, but will involve an entire track for skeptics.
News! This year there will be a track of Skeptic content at Dragon*Con this year. . . there has been about 1-2 panels of skeptic content for the past 4 years with great success; last year we hosted a whole 2 hour event just telling people WHAT Skeptic thought was all about, that panel had Derek and Swoopy of Skepticality, Frasier Cain, Phil Plait, and George Hrab on it. — Dragon*Con Member Facebook group
I know that Michael Shermer of Skeptic Magazine will be there, but nobody else on the skeptic track has been announced yet.
Drew “fark.com” Curtis has recently been added and David “Bud Bundy” Faustino… why do I imagine them as the same person?
I’m thinking that I’ll also be trying to do some short interviews on tape with people, but I’m not sure who to start with. About the only people I’m really thinking about tracking down at this point are Tori, Kari, and Grant from Mythbusters. I really like preparing for an interview well in advance, with surprising questions (thank you, Nardwuar…) that impress the interviewee. This will mean having a list of questions in advance of appearing at the show, so I need to decide on who else to approach.
I’m open to suggestions off the Dragon*Com guest list…

The FINAL schedule of Dragon*Con Skeptic Events is now posted here:
