I just recieved one of the more offensive spam attempts that I’ve seen in some time, this time targeting people desperate to emigrate to the United States.

The full text of the scam email I recieved is quoted below, but to summarize they’re looking for US$355 for processing fees, which must be paid directly to an agent of the “visa program”, not via Western Union.? The phone number listed is in Thailand, but since when does the US government use netscape.net email addresses for government business?? Times must be tight if they need to funnel all communications through visaagent12@netscape.net and visaagent13@netscape.net, let alone use gmail to send the winning announcements.
