Peerflix: We Don’t Want No Stinkin’ Comments

Oh, it says it on their blog sidebar, but I’m baffled by how my comment was off-topic or inappropriate….
We encourage comments and look forward to hearing from you. Please note that Peerflix may, in our sole discretion, remove comments if they are deemed off-topic or inappropriate.
They made a handful of recommendations for selections that you could “curl up after the big meal with one of these festive favorites” and watch with your loving family. One of the movies they recommended is Pieces of April which I quite liked, but it’s by no means a feel-good film. My review from when I watched it back in April, 2004 reads, in part;
It’s also quite likely the saddest movie I’ve ever seen. I didn’t see much of the last 10 minutes; something got in my eye repeatedly. It’s sad, but it’s perfect. It’s not one of those movies where everyone’s happy and all is forgiven; this is a movie where everyone is fucked up, they all know it, and they give it a chance anyway.
It’s not a festive movie. It will never be a festive movie, and you’d have to be insane to think it was. However, that’s nothing like what I posted…. I posted less than 20 words, simply to state that Pieces of April isn’t exactly what I’d call a “festive” movie as it’s anything but feel-good unless you really enjoy crying. I didn’t use off-colour language or expressions, nor link to anything; basically I made what I believe to be a perfectly fine comment on a blog that is about movies.
It’s a blog; treat it like one and respond to the comment, don’t delete it. I’ll send a trackback ping, but I imagine that’ll be scrapped as well…
