I mentioned that I was Testing Peerflix and I’m turning up a couple bugs and quirks; maybe I should have applied when they were posting job ads.
The first one that annoys me is questionable search results. I clicked on “John Waters” and it ran an advanced Director Search on that name… pulling up movies that weren’t directed by “John Waters” at the top of the list. Sure, Cry Baby showed up, but it was down around item three or four…

Later, when I’m browsing through DVDs to select ones to add to my wish list, and upon clicking on the “Add” button, I’m presented with a screwed up page with messed up headers. The browser spins for a while, and then complains that there’s no data… Hmmm… IIS…

Then there’s the source page that I see every so often when I hit “Next Page” on a page after I’ve succeeded in adding a movie to my want list. It doesn’t happen EVERY time; but about 1 in 4 which makes it a bit annoying. What makes it really annoying is that sometimes I get dumped back at the first page in the browse list, which is nearly a show stopper when you’ve just managed to browse through a dozen pages, and there’s no easy way to flip to page 13…

I think it’s time to email Peerflix directly rather than wait for them to find the blog entries…
