Hey, could you delete that post about us?

I received an interesting phone call just now regarding my site here, and for the time being I’ll refrain from saying who exactly it was, the company they represent, or the post here on the bankrupt artist that they were calling about. They wanted me to delete a posting here that portrayed their company in a bad light; by simply quoting their own words….

    Stealth Concerts

Sometimes I find out about a show from the artist’s page well before I catch wind of it locally. I found the November 3rd, 2005 show featuring Jello Biafra & The Melvins on the Alternative Tentacles web site, but am still unable to find much information on the show anywhere else online. The Vancouver show [...]

It’s the first must-see film of the year!

    by  • 10/24/2005 • movies • 0 Comments

I hate movie trailers with blurbs from writers that make insane claims like this; ‘If you see only one film this year’ or ‘Best romantic / buddy / cop flick of the second week of July’ or whatever. I know that some of these guys play to the trailer people, to get their names in [...]

It’s not just Quicktime that can be funny

I wonder what the “deposit” that’s required for the Fed-Ex package will be; I think I’ll send them an email and see if I can still “apply”….

    Podcasting setup for iTunes…

    by  • 10/20/2005 • geek • 1 Comment

Okay, I’m a bit confused by this, and am beginning to think that it’s just some sort of bizarre caching problem on my laptop. I’ve setup a podcast for distribution of some old interviews and videos for Nardwuar The Human Serviette. The itunes:image tag looks fine in the RSS2 feed’s output, but I get the [...]

    VIFF Day 15

    by  • 10/13/2005 • life • 0 Comments

Ran into Larry Kent (Hamster Cage) again, and he mentioned that he wasn’t stalking me; I laughed and had to talk him down. In retrospect, I’m not entirely sure if he was kidding around or not, but he stopped and talked regardless. We chatted with him about the level of Canadian film here this year. [...]
