As he is running away away from the police after his robbery, Sawada’s scooter runs out of gas. Thankfully, there’s a gas station within a short walk, and he’s able to stop in there for a gallon of gas and a quick bite to eat before carrying on his way.

The actors here play the parts well, allowing a natural and easy sense of humour to come from simple actions. It’s not your typical romantic comedy that’s laugh out loud funny throughout; it’s a slow comedic setting, and some might find it rather dry. There’s nothing particularly astonishing here outside of the actors; it’s this pair that carry off an otherwise mundane story.

It does appear from the lobby chatter after the film that I was in the minority in enjoying this film, so I’d recommend it only to people looking for good acting, a thief who vomits a lot, and an uncomfortable sex scene thrown in for good measure. If you’re more into metaphor and implied meanings and level upon level of context, you’d be best finding something else to watch.
