Just got an email from Apple; my PowerBook has a FedEx tracking number now.

Doesn’t appear to have been picked up yet, but it should be ready for pickup if FedEx knows about it.

I just noticed that I can subscribe to tracking updates via email, so of course I did that. Sure, the geek in me wants SMS updates or an RSS feed, but email is just fine. The Worst Case Scenario tm would have had the laptop ship August 5, likely to arrive August 8. This way I might have the wee beastie by August 5.
