Plagairists in university is an interesting story. I can’t understand how someone would think to solicit an essay written by a stranger with no idea about how good their work could possibly be. I can definitely understand agreeing to write the paper and doing a really half-assed job of it, and I think I might have thought to do the same with the only thing stopping me being that I’d still have to do real work to construct a web of lies and half truths.
I find it hard to believe that people are accusing Nate of being the bad guy here; if he refused, she’d have found someone else to write her paper. A response to the thread alleges to be written by the “victim” herself;
Imagine my surprise when I was emailed information from the President of my university about an accusation of plagarism. It was only a matter of time before I happened upon this blog and the cruel joke that you have played here.
I am an Engineering major with a full course load in engineering courses, so I can assure you that I am not taking anything that would require me to solicit your services to write a poorly written paper on Hinduism.
Please be informed that my lawyer, Mr. Edwin Shansky will be in touch with you shortly to begin proceedings for a civil case against your libel, and I will see you in court. Let this be a lesson to you and all other sadistical SOBs who have nothing better to do than to try to dirty the good name of innocents like myself.
So, Laura K. Krishna or Laura K. Pahl; whatever your name is… it doesn’t matter which courses you cheat on, you’re still cheating. Want a doctor that had someone write all of his biology papers for him? Cheating is cheating; where’s can you draw the line otherwise? Many of the posts act like this girl getting tossed out of school is the worst thing ever, but I suggest it’s the best. Plagairism is rampant in schools, and it’s messing with the curve… I suggest active busts; let’s setup a web page and solicit to write papers. Let’s turn out very poorly written papers and let’s NOT turn the people in; let them fail by way of bad work.
DING! Fries are done!

I agree that lying, stealing and cheating are reprehensible, and that Laura K. Pahl is a sorry sorry soul for trying what she did. That said, may I ask why your web site prominently displays (upper left) a couple of Google ad sites for purchasing college papers? It seems like the master irony that you denounce the very act that you advertise.
Old Asterisk*
Welcome to the wonderful world of Google Ads…. I can choose specific ads to not run based on keywords, but opting out is a lot more difficult than you’d think. I can choose domains to not display ads for, but which domains do I choose? There are likely hundreds of advertisers in Google advertising such items, and I can’t blacklist them all; I can filter only 200 domains, and advertisers register domains faster than I can block them.
My favourite combination was a posting dedicated to ethics where I saw a Google Ad offering ethics papers for sale….
You guys know that it’s entirely possible that this Laura Krishna / Pahl business is actually a mildly elaborate joke? I’m not sure either way, because it seems fairly original, and there is a student w/ photo by that name at Lewis University.
so wait, let me get this straight. a girl asked this guy to write a paper for her class. he wrote it crappily and she’s suing him?
