WordPress Upgrade successful?

Well, at least I don’t have to worry about rebuilding my database this time… I’m up and running with WordPress 1.5 now, and the next step is to install all those anti-spam plugins and stuff, and try to cut back on the latest influx of texas hold-em spam. I am no fan of the Kubrick template, though I think that the Kubrickr application was pretty cool, I just can’t deal with such a narrow layout. I like whitespace around text, but that one provides a bit too much for my liking.

The layout of the admin screen is a little wonky by default as well. The opening bracket is up on the top line “bankrupt artist v.3 (” and the closing one is under “Write Post” – you can just see the tail of it. I have no idea what’s supposed to be in the brackets… Ah well, I’m happy that the upgrade worked at all; I’m sitting in a coffee shop in Downtown Vancouver, within site of 7 unsecured WIFI connections, upgrading my server from there. Wireless is an amazing thing.
