I’m sure it’s old news by now, but Sony threatens to sue Jason Kottke for posting proprietary information to the interweb (which the Washington post also printed). People cry out for a boycott of Sony products… but really, when was the last time a boycott effected a change? Especially a timely change. Sure, if you’re two crazy religious-right nutjobs you can get a TV network to pull advertising that you deem offensive, but that’s not the case here.
Look how well that RIAA boycott is going, or the MPAA one, or any of the Starbucks ones… Witness corporate giants fold under the power of the people! Oh, but while I’m waiting, wouldn’t a caramel macchiato be nice?
Best idea – don’t boycott them – kick their ass.
