Studio space for rent in East Vancouver

Blah blah blah blah artist-run co-op style studio space blah blah blah
Place on the East Side of Vancouver with decent access to transit, right on the main bike route.
We’ve got a variety of spaces available in April and later, running about 68 cents per square foot per month plus a share of utilities (basically amounting to $1 a foot)
Just in time for the summer series of shows that we’re going to be running starting at the end of June.
Some great space for potters (bring your own kilns), painters, photographers, glass workers, sculptors or performance artists. Spaces ranging in size from 150-400 square feet depending on your needs. Maybe even musicians so long as you’re not dirty hippies.
We have an attached gallery on the front of the studio space, and it gets a lot of traffic during the summer from local and tourist traffic. Looking for people interested in making our shows work.
No welding, no noxious chemical, no heavy manufacturing.
Call me at 604-258-XXXX if you want to have a look and meet the other artists, and I’ll try to answer your questions or setup a time to take a tour.
Update (April 17, 2005) While I’m still at the space above, I’m making plans to find my own decent sized space, and some of the early wants and needs are outlined on a newer post.

I am a new painter in Vancouver I moved here from Calgary after graduating from the Alberta College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. The gallery that my studio was located in closed permanently due to financial difficulties and I am now looking for a new space, yours sounds interesting. Please contact me and we could set up some sort of meeting or something.
Thank you
i’m actually looking for a space for my band to rehearse and stumbled across this on the internet. it seems like a long shot but worth inquiring. far from stinky hippies, we are however a loud rock band and would be looking to share the space with our friends’ band, three inches of blood, who are also quite loud, but on tour half of the year.
thanks
joel

I’m also looking for someone to rent space. I found the perfect place in East Van. It has industrial power and high ceilings. The large room is 900 sq ft. I’ll take the back which has a kitchen. I prefer no noxious chemicals. There is residential above this space so you can be too noisy, esp. late at night. I’ll want to move in by June 1st.
Hi There,
I am looking for a shared photography studio space and a good location to meet with clients.
Is there still space available?
Can you email me photos of it?
thanks,
Amie

I’m interested in live/work studio, blah blah blah. You sound like the type of creative people that do, and ask questions later. Good place avoid dirty hippies and get some work done. I’m a writer and musician and paint and photograph and … Semi-established. Working on higher levels. That’s where it stands now – coming down, if possible.
Any space?
is this site still alive? rather, is live-work space still being offered? if so, i’m very interested. i’m not a dirty hippy. i’m a music composer / performer / student, artist (various mediums), needing space to fit large collection of smaller instruments, a few fine wines and a sonic playground. i am a mouse, humble, quiet (other than for sound-making), scurrying to and fro’ but don’t chew wires, don’t pee on furniture, or break into cereal boxes without asking. give a ring 604-725-6723 if you have a home for me! Hoping to be settled somewhere by September 2008. apply pithiness to the part about being a mouse and that last bit. the first part isn’t really pithful is it?
Hello,
I’m a painter (and soon to be student… again). Is this space still available.
If so, could you please send more details and possible some photos?
Thanks!
